We are nearing the commodification of high tier optics, a la the AR-15, in the vase ocean of optic choices. Asking the right questions is paramount for narrowing the scope of what optic one should purchase.

Do you, a Middle Management Dad, need a Comp5?

Can you afford a Comp5 for your P and your A and maybe get a budget tier for the C and E?

The new video from my friend Ian at Forgotten Weapons helps narrow the issue so it is not all overwhelming.

Disclaimer: Ian is friend of mine when he was at Purdue. Mike is a fellow attorney who is also friend with a Chicago-Kent classmate. Not shilling just hoping to organize threshold question for those struggling with "which optic for _______?"

That was pretty refreshing to watch. Pretty truthful.

Though I'm guessing the QC aspect is more about having tighter tolerances during manufacturing and the costs of doing that and avoiding tossing out a bunch of product post manufacture.

Probably also keeps him from getting cease and desist orders from claiming his stuff is just as good as the big guys (and rightfully so).

It's all about your requirements and buying to the level you need or in some cases want (i.e. Buying more than you need because you can).
