Looking for information on this knife. I think it was only made one year.

It was only called the Schrade Loveless (model RL-2) the first year Schrade made it......either 1975 or 1976.....I can't remember the exact year. Schrade continued to make that knife for several years, but they didn't call it the Schrade Loveless and they changed the model number and name several times over the years.

That is all I can remember......I'm on the road doing the Ft. Wayne show so I don't have my references with me.

I'm curious about the quality of Schrade knives in general. They have a few fixed blade models that look like a great buy for the price. Can anyone speak to their durability, performance, etc.?

I really like the stonewashed look. But the low price point (under $40) makes me question the quality.

The current Schrade company should not be confused with the original Schrade USA company in Walden NY. The original Schrade closed their doors about 10 years ago. Taylor Brands bought the rights to the Schrade name, and almost everything made currently with the Schrade name is made off shore (China). The quality is no where close to the original Schrade USA products.
