I was looking for a 100 yd. pinker, and a backyard varmint shooter. Before I drop $400. Would any of ya see a better value?

There are cheaper .22s, but unless you want to go to one of the cheaper, heavy-barrel Savages (like the FV model), then you won't find anything as accurate.

I own a MKIIFV and it's a tack driver. I'm currently trying to sell it though because it does not get shot anymore.

FV barrel vs. stainless barrel. They both Are heavy. Is one superior or is it just personal preference.

The "V" models have heavier target barrels, except for the TR for some reason.

Yup, take the "T" and "S" out of the model name and you'll save about $150.
