Yep, Got one last year in .223 and really like it. Very accurate and decent trigger IMO. Was planning on changing up the trigger but after shooting it, decided not too. Hard to beat for the money. My son loves his in 30-06, said he likes it much better than the Ruger American he had.

I just got an Axis II XP in .308 back in October and it seems to be a good shooter. Had the same trouble zeroing it but now is good. Have only shot about 30 rounds through it so far though. Has a nice trigger but the bolt cycles a little rough.

Snagged one in .223 a few years back - was my first non-milsurp bolt-action rifle. Quite impressed with the trigger, especially at this price point. And even bone stock the thing is surprisingly accurate. It's a hard to beat gun for this price.

It blows my mind that they sell a rifle and scope and rings that cheap. It's probably not a 4-500 yd rifle, but at around 250-300 this thing rocks.
If it holds 1 MOA, and you have the abilities to shoot you can reach out to 1000yds with ammunition your rifle likes.

I have a Savage Edge in 223 that I bought in the 90's. This is the same rifle as the Axis, for some reason Savage changed the name several years ago. I did change the optics and trigger out. This rifle has put a lot of whistle pigs down.

Had an orig Axis and after some minor mods it shot great.
The ergonomics and a long action (for short action cartridge) made it go bye bye.

Nothing against Savage. Have an old short action w Penrod bbl in .243.

It aint gonna bounce around in cab of truck.
There I think rifles like Savage Axis and Ruger American, are ideal.
