1006 4566 5906. I like all of the full size frame guns. Hoping to add at least one or 2 4506 or 4506-1 to the group. my only complaint is the magazine safety but I am told that is easily dealt with.

Got my Numrich part and it fits like a glove. I would assume my hunch is right about the other grip being for a 6900 series.

    You were told right.
I haven't yet disabled mine, but there are some videos on YouTube that show exactly how to do it.
It involves removing the rear sight, then taking out a few parts under it, then reassembling it.

Yep. The hardest part is getting the rear sight off. Pull out a spring and plunger (one set, not both) and reinstall the sight.

I was able to use a brass punch with a rag to get my sights off the 4506. Just gotta know which way to tap.

Ah, so now we're including unicorns?

    ;)

It's probably not very common and I'm sure that I must be missing an inside joke here, but this doesn't appear to be a unicorn:

No, not really an inside joke. (Well, not yet at least.)

IMHO (and I could be wrong) that is a rare version. Maybe not "rare" in a collector or absolute sense, just not one that you see very often.

Like the 4505, 4567, 5903ssv, 4596, 5943ssv, 5906m, 5967, some of the RSR transitionals, 6924, and a few others that I missed in the book. I would throw the 3906 in there as well at 2500 made, though I have seen at least one a month on GB pop up.

From what I understand, the 1046 is either right at the top or in the running for rarity, with a mere 151 made.
I would have loved a 1026, mainly for the frame-mounted decocker over the slide-mounted decocker/safety, but (at least if I recall properly) they couldn't be gotten with adjustable sights.

Yeah there are also a few 1st and 2nd gens out there as well. Off the top of my head the Model 44.

Stumbled across a 1086 some time back. Very nice. Collectability somewhat hampered by previous owner installing factory adjustable sights. Bought it anyhow. Nice companion for my 610.

I have a 4516-1 in the safe somewhere is it one of the desirable gen 3's?

For someone looking for a compact 45, but it seems the trend is more for 3913's and 4506's. Usually 4506's have been selling in the low to mid 500's and go pretty fast when listed. The prices on 3913's have gone up from $50-$100 over the last 2 yrs.

Top is my 4506-1 fixed sights.
The bottom is a 5903, alloy framed and you just don't see them very often.
I have the boxes for both of them.
The 4506 was purchased many years ago in my quest to find the perfect .45.
I have not been disappointed with it.
