What is the difference between the Ruger American Rifle in standard format, vs the "Predator" format? Anyone have any specifics....? Cabelas has a pretty good price on the "Predator" variation through 4/6

Predator has thicker barrel, most are threaded I think

No experience with either models but I like my Ruger American Rimfire. I have the .22 mag and pondering a .22 lr.
If you might get a suppressor on later the the predator is what you need. Other than that pick the one that most appeals to you.
