I'm curious about the Ruger 204. Anyone have this caliber and how do ya like it? Just saw some the other day at Gander Mountain and thought I'd ask.

I have a bolt and Ar (Les Baer) in 204. I reload and go west for prarie dogs several times a year, and love the round. Light recoil, flat trajectory, you can watch the round all the way in. I reload 26gr and 34 gr, great for days when there is no wind.

When real windy, I shoot 22-250, or sometimes .243.

Everyone should have at least one! Great rig for coyotes, chucks, prarie dogs, crows. What rifle are you looking at?

Haven't really looked to hard just saw them and thought might be a good coyote gun. How far of lethal reach would it have? I've got an AR in 223 and was gonna use it for coyotes but might want another also.

My son bought a TC Encore in 204 this year. Awesome rifle. He loves it. Great cartridge, very accurate, looking at buying one for myself next year.

Coyotes to 250, everything else to 400+. I have a ruger and AR, my brother runs the savage with an Accu-trigger, sweet gun.

KBoom, those are some healthy chucks! Are you near the nuclear power plant?

    They were chucking his wood!

I may look into one soon. Just saw them and they sparked my curiosity.

It is a good round. Less recoil so that you can spot shots better when shooting prarie dogs. I think the 22-250 is more versatile and would opt for it over my 204.
