Looks like the conservative wing has finally made it clear that there's no room at their table for libertarians. Doesn't matter how popular they are, the philosophy is anathema to them, at their core. Maybe this will help, in the long run. Libertarianism isn't some brand of conservatism and libertarians aren't just conservatives who like pot. Here's hoping they dig the rift deeper.

Made it clear? The author of that piece doesn't even make it clear. He's not sure if it was a Paul or CPAC decision or why. The rest is merely wild speculation based on the author's own suppositions.

    Another take on it.

Ron Paul cut from CPAC roster?
To make a short story even shorter. Al Cardenas, the former chairman of the Florida Republican Party took over as head of CPAC. This means that the country club republicans have taken over CPAC and will have none of Ron Paul and his army of supporters storming the event. I predict the lowest attendance of CPAC in years as a result of this snub.

He wasn't booted, he was one of the first candidates they approached. Jesse simply hasn't responded yet, I believe. I will have to verify.
