Here in Ohio I have bought trucks in less time and lot less aggravation than buying a gun from a RK store. Has anyone here done their "online only" purchases? I imagine it would just add to the misery.

Unless you are transferring it at an FFL other than RK, the pain level will be the same or worse in my experience.

One would wonder why someone would subject themselves to such stupidity, and I shop at RK.

Free transfer to RK not really sure how something is free when it can take up an hour of your time and raise your bp.

yeah for me 35.00 is well spent at my local pawn shop. Form filled out, approved and on my way usually in 10 minutes or less.

Bought a couple in one of the Indiana stores. Once they tell you it’s in and you can pick it up (which in one case was after they had had it in the store for a couple weeks), filling out the online 4473 and waiting for it to be approved wasn’t particularly onerous or time consuming. The last one didn’t require any escorting from the building; just handed me the box with the gun and thanked me for the purchase.

I did it ONCE… the price was too good to pass up and I had no previous experience at RK.
NEVER AGAIN will I purchase a gun from RK. Almost 2 hours of my life and then I had to be escorted out the door by the manager like a crook due to “company policy”.
F them… I‘ll go there to buy birdseed and pet the bunny’s. The gun shop can go straight to hell.

    Fort Wayne RK… btw.

My experience also. Waiting on a Canik right now, but once they notify it's in its pretty straightforward.

I’ve purchased two or three guns from the Rural King in Shelbyville, and I’ve never had any issues. About the same time that it would take in any other gun shop. I have never ordered from them online though.

I've done an online purchase with them, went pretty well. I bought 3 guns and out the door in about 45 minutes. Them checking and double-checking serial numbers took the longest once a manager showed up.

Bought one rifle from them. The lady in front of me was having some issue with her form or something so their focus was in her so it took some time to get her going but once I was the focus I was out with out any trouble. So I believe bad that kady not be around I would have been in and out in a normal amount of time.

My son, and father bought a rifle from them they were out in about 20 minutes total. I bought a handgun and it took around 30 minutes. The longest part was the wait for RK guns to ship it to Greensburg. It took them over 3 weeks and this was back in the firearm sales slump when Trump was president.
I haven't bought from RKguns since.

Good price, I was more knowledgeable about every step of the process as well as firearms than anyone there and that's kind of sad. No... it's really sad.
But certainly not surprising. I know more about food than most McDonald’s employees. If one buys a gun at the McDonald’s of guns why is it sad if one gets what they pay for?

I just bought one couple weeks ago. In and out in 20 minutes or less. The updated NICS speeds things up quite a bit.

I've bought in-store in Indy & another city a couple of times & online.
I once drove 45 minutes away to pick up a Sig 365 NW of Indy (from a tip here), when no one had them in stock locally years ago.
    Never had an issue.

I usually buy don't buy new gun, but when the price is like "used" or I can't even find it used, I give in.
Once years ago, they were selling a SW MP 22 Compact for the same than what I could buy it for used, if you could track one down before another beat you to it, haha!
