Remington 522 Viper

Any thoughts, comments, experience with a Remington 522 Viper. Its a cheap .22 ($100) made 93-98. Ive heard some good stories and bad....I dont know. I got one just to shoot without going broke on ammo.

I have one. Just took it out a couple of months ago, after it sitting in the safe for years. I've had no problems, except this is one of the few guns I never purchased extra magazines for and they apparently are really expensive (about $50 each + shipping from what I saw when looking recently). Remington no longer stocks the magazines apparently.

Thanks buddy. Yea I saw the price tags for the steel mags from Brownells. Crazy to think that the mag is half the cost of the gun. Owell.

Many individuals experience failures due to the need of a full dis-assembly, cleaning and lubrication from alot of dirty and cheap ammo. Keep it maintained and you should be good to go.

Thanks good to know. I keep all my guns very very clean. Doesnt look like its going to be a bad lil gun for me then.

Had one, still think it may be at Mom and Dads. It makes a good club, that's about it.
