If you have a Big R close by, check them. When they have primers, they are typically CCI and run $30/k. Powder is typically priced pretty good as well.

No break on quantity of primers 2.99 per 100 or 29.99 per 1000. Also got 1 lb Varget for 24.95 at Big R, most other powder are in line with that.

I dont have ANY ISSUES with the S&B $25/1000 from Cabelas

What the big deal with S&B primers? Have not have problems either and hear this often. Tula primers, yes, they will not work in my primer tubes.

You know how some primers are harder than others? Federal is generally considered the lightest and CCI the heaviest domestic primer? S&B's reputation is that it's a bit harder than CCI. For most guns, it's a non-issue. For something like a tuned target shooting revolver with light springs, it may run reliably with Federal but not with S&B (or CCI). That's it.

Yep, not much more to add here, the small rifle are hard as hell but still haven't had any issues except trying to shoot them in pistol rounds.

    Whoo-wee!
Reading this makes me want to paper patch some more 450 grainers for that flinter .52 bore Renegade.

Oh, and forgot to add that my .38 Special loads run slower with S&B primers. About 50fps vs Winchester.
