I paid for mine a few days ago. My RC-4 got put on hold for a little while longer.

It is too late for new people to get in on the deal. They are only making 200 and they have already been reserved.

    Oh, that sucks.

Oh well, that is a cool forum and I have learned a lot about RAT since last night:)

Mine is paid for, just waiting for it to ship now. That'll get me one step closer to rounding out my RAT knife collection.

    Izula - RC3 - H.E.S.T. - RC4 - RC5 - RC6 - RC10.

Just waiting on the RC3 to arrive, and then I need to order a the HEST and the RC5, and then on to the monster RC10 when it's slated to debut at the SHOT Show.

Here's the RC10 prototype in case someone hasn't seen this bad boy yet:

Im thinking about an RC-3 or -4, what is the size difference and which would you prefer for a small edc or general purpose knife, also what sheath options are there

    RC-3:

    Overall length: 8 3/16".
    Blade length: 3 7/8".
    Blade thickness: 1/8".

    RC-4:

    Overall length: 9".
    Blade length: 4 1/2".
    Blade thickness: 3/16".

There are numerous sheathing options for both knives (primarily molded kydex for RC4 and leather for the RC3) , as well as Plain Edge (PE) and Partially Serrated (PS) blade options for both knives.

For an EDC, I'd recommend the RC3 or an Izula.

    For comparison:

    Izula:

    Overall Length: 6.25"
Blade Length (end of handle to tip): 2.88"
    Thickness: .156"

Hope that helps, there are kydex options for all of their knives, some nylon and leather setups for their larger knives.
