Anybody have experience with the Ranier plated bullets in .44 mag? I've never tried the plated bullets, pretty much stuck with the 240 swcs and JHPs for my loads. Saw them in the Midway catalog and the price looked OK. Just wondering what everybody's experience has been with these.

I use Rainiers for light loads in the .357. They are clean and cheap. They cannot be pushed like a true jacketed bullet, they are just too soft and the accuracy goes away at magnum velocities. I think you will be unhappy with them in the .44 mag.

I have had good luck with Hornady XTP bullets in the .357 and the .44 mag, and if you watch the sales, you can find them at good prices. Good Luck

Gona try some Rainier plated bullets in my Ruger .44. I have used Berry's plated bullets in my Ruger .41M. 210 gr. bullet with 8.7 grains Unique was very accurate. I read on the Berry bullets web site they suggest using cast lead bullet powder charges.
