    And in a demoncrat-controlled House and Senate this has somewhere between 0 and nada % chance of passing.
    Unfortunately I agree, IMO it was simply a grandstanding gesture so he can say look I tried. Even if we take both houses of Congress it would still be the same for the next 2 yrs. Unless they tied it to a must pass bill or a bill that contains something the Dems really want. Look at the Hughes amendment of the FOPA as an example in reverse. The Repubs really wanted the FOPA to pass and Hughes put the amendment up as a poison pill. It didn't kill the bill but it killed lawful possession of new full auto firearms for the vast majority of people.
