    If you measure the distance b/w the gutter to the ground on the right corner and then near the porch there is a discernable difference.

    But actually that thing is called a "shut off switch". I was repairing a broken ice maker and I grabbed a picture to use as a reference.
    It's a long story, but your picture reminded me of the line I posted, which is from the novelization of "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial". Pretty obscure reference, I know. It's amazing what sticks in your head for 30 years.
