Rain Ride

Is anyone else going on the rain ride on the 21st?

I was supposed to do a 45 mile ride today. 3 miles in and my heart went into A-Fib. Lucky me, guess I'll lay around all day waiting to go back into a sinus rhythm.

I just started riding this year and set my initial goal for 50 miles. I've done 42 so I don't think I'll have any issues hitting my goal before the end of the season but I'm not ready for 160 yet. I might set that as a goal for next year.

I was going to be in a large group riding it... Until two weeks ago that is. Had a nasty wreck resulting in a broken back. Will have to wait until the 2013 ride now.

Good luck with that ride! Lars did part of it last year. Stay hydrated. It was hot and humid last year, and he had to throw in the towel at mile 93. He hasn't ridden much since we moved south, though. He considered doing a TX century (Hotter'N Hell Hundred), but he hasn't been training for it, so not this year.
