I was firing my Beretta M9-.22LR I bought months ago.
Only had it to the range a couple of times and have only put 3-4 boxes of ammo through it.
I noticed tonight when I put 3 magazines through it that the slide stop/slide lock/slide release) would lock back like all the rounds had been expended, but they weren't.
I simply pulled back the slide quickly releasing it to advance the next round waiting to chamber. (I was told not to use the slide stop as a slide release, and have read the same doing research about which is correct, with some debate about that point).
The previous fired round had ejected fine.
It did this for 3 rounds of the 15 that is in a magazine, then 4 rounds, then 5 rounds per magazine.
I seemed to get 1 round worse with each magazine.
I was using CCI Mini-Mags, 1235 FPS, 40 grain, copper coated round nose rounds.
I could take different brands of ammo to try but CCI has always been my best brand in nearly every case of handgun.
Strange.
Does it just need a cleaning and oiled up?
It doesn't like the CCI Mini-Mags?
Anyone had this problem with a .22LR and/or can this be an issue with any semi-automatic?
Never had this problem before.
What say ye?
