Question for the Gurus....Remington 597 adaptability question.

Here is the deal, I purchased a Bull barrel 597 a while back and I love it. However, I now understand why it was sold, it has issues. It works but it takes some TLC.




So I purchased this,



I did this for a couple of reasons, # 1 I have plenty of mags for it, #2 I would like to switch the guts out of the new one and use in the HB version. I am not sure if the switch will work as I want to keep the Heavy barrel one. I could have bought a HB one outright but I did not have that chance as of yet.

Anyone know if this is possible and I can keep my Heavy Barrel with laminated stock?

Check that will not work...on the HB I have a .8225" width and on the non HB it was .76xx". Will not fit. Darn.

I will just have to purchase a new HB and put it in..
