New to reloading so hopefully this is not a stupid question. I currently only have a single stage press. Is there anything wrong with going ahead and priming my cases and then storing them in a plastic container?

That's exactly how I do it. I store uncleaned, unprimed, unsized brass until I have enough to run a decent batch. Then I deprime/resize and clean it. Then it gets reprimed and stored until I'm ready to do a loading batch. This also gives me time to sort by headstamp. For some of my calibers, headstamp is an issue during the seating stage, but I don't feel the need to trim my revolver brass because of it. I'll just sort it out and load it in batches.
I also cast most of the bullets I reload, so having a bunch of ready-to-load brass on hand after a big cast/lube session just makes it all worth it.
