    Odd, just placed order, got 5-boxes and 5-lbs (5ea of 1lb) HP-38....I feel dirty....paid to much....panic buy....I'm going to take a shower.....

Email came thru stating order went thru
I know that dirty feeling. Don't worry, it washes off with a little scrubbing and a few trips to the range.

Brownells has CCI 41's for $95 per 1000, seems to be going up.

Those “military” primers are always salty but they have gone up in the last month or so. I paid 89.99 for some about a month ago

Same...I was trying to think what I paid, but yeah, I just checked my invoice.

If I’m paying these prices, I’ll wait for Natchez to get more to spread out the hazmat a little better since they have a limit of 5k instead of 2.

I wonder how you guys get $0.26 per round? I got small pistol primers from Midway USA for $79/1000. With hazmat and shipping it became $0.11 per primer. Then I got Berry's 0.38 bullets for $0.14 each. I still have HP38 powder from 2020 so it is like $0.05 per round. With the brass and my labor free, I still have $0.30 per round of 38spl.

Labor fee? Do you charge yourself for reloading?

One thing you can do is shop around for different projectiles, Berry's have really increased there prices, and 38-357 does cost a bit more to reload, just did another price check on my cost for 9mm it is .22 cents per round with range brass. this is factored with recent primer cost but i still have a lot of primers that i paid around 18.00 per thousand . Used to buy the sellior belloit from cabbalas years ago.

I believe that you are overestimating your powder cost. Assuming a charge of 4.0 grains HP-38 at the current market price of $35/pound, your true powder cost is about $0.02. That gets you down to $0.27 per round.

THIS^^^ I bought some Autocomp to load 40 with about a month ago for $31 for a pound

I'm loading 6.6 grains behind 165 gr pills, so at 7000 grains per pound theoretically I could load 1060 rounds with that pound. Using 1000 rounds for ease of computation (and inevitable ullage) my powder cost is 3.1¢/round

I pay $0.06 for my projectiles. $0.02 for my TG. Primers at old prices: $0.03.

I am way under $0.26 for 9mm. More like $0.11 using range brass.

I suppose you could factor in that some of my range brass is from factory ammo that I shot.

But then again, I have on occasion cleaned up after a class when no one wanted their brass. I have more than a few times collected upwards of 600 rounds of brass when I only shot 300 or so.

I am using Summit City bullets, they're very reasonable.
    And
    I got my W231 for $109/4lbs (1810g). 109/1810g * 1g/15.45gr=.38 cents/gr

    $.0038 * 4.2gr per round =.0159 (1.6 cents per round)

I didn't calculate the powder cost. So that's what it is. Thanks!
