Not my president. That isn't even my choice. That bastard already made it abundantly clear in his own statements. His predecessor, by contrast, embraced making the country as good as possible in the course of serving as the president of ALL Americans whether they liked him or not. Biden has already picked and chosen which identity groups he is there to serve, and I am not part of his hand-picked constituency.

Well yeah, but it’s really not as sinister as it seems. He’s going to ask that those person be granted a legal status to allow for a pathway to citizenship. From understanding, it’s an 8 year plan. We don’t have to like it, but we have to start somewhere. Ideally, felons, and others who commit crimes during that time should be excluded from the program, and once we have everyone eligible locked in, then we lay the hammer down on any illegals afterward. I honestly, after that point, wouldn’t have issue with ending birthright citizenship, and creating a law, federally, that prevents illegals from obtaining any type of benefits.

The border wall is being paused. Amnesty is given out. Caravans are en route as we speak.

After this amnesty, any sane thinking be long gone. Their reasoning for amnesty is to gain voters. It’s not going to go backwards.

I ,in principle agree that these people need a pathway to citizenship. It’s insane that these people do not have one. It encourages identity fraud and tax evasion.

This thread is going about how I expected. Haha!

Today was a very good day for me. I watched the Inauguration, thought Lady Gaga just slayed, found President Biden's speech to be excellent, and Amanda Gordon's poem hit me in the feels.

I know some of you are not feeling the same way today and I wish there was something I could do to ease that. I hope, in the next 4 years, that, as a country, we become more united and find strength, love, and compassion in our commonalities.
