Today my wife and I attended the funeral procession of Sheriff Officer Vanderpool. He passed this past week from leukemia. Our oldest son is in LE on occasion worked with Officer Vanderpool. We jump at the opportunity to support first responders. As expected there was a huge outpouring of support from LE agencies all over NW Indiana. The procession was quick. It appeared that his casket was pulled by a three wheeler Harley motorcycle. Fitting, because it's my understanding he was an avid Harley rider. RIP Officer Vanderpool.
