If they would simply bail out the PEOPLE instead of the corrupt big-wigs, everything would be fine. i.e. Give each taxpaying household $200,000 with a stipulation that a certain percentage of it must be used for housing/paying mortgage. This would give Americans the opportunity to pay off homes, catch up late payments, pay towards principal, refinance, purchase new, etc. After all, the housing industry is a major factor that they're wanting to "stimulate" right? (And if the PEOPLE are able to stimulate it, then the big corps don't need a bailout.)

The rest... you'd be free to spend on as much porn as you want.

    See? Everybody wins.

    MPO: bailouts are copouts

If its such a great idea, then why not give everyone $1,000,000? Heck, let's do it monthly. That way everybody could pay their bills, right:(

jsgolfman - You're right, it's NOT a great idea. Just like it's not a great idea that big industry should get bailouts. That's why I ended with "bailouts are copouts". My point was, if they insist on bailing someone out it should be the people, not the idiots that got us into this mess in the first place.

K, sorry. I misundertood you then. You do bring up a good point though. Aren't we constantly being sodl the elixir of spend, spend, spend? That's the best thing for the economy. Well, as jennybird says, give it to the people. Who better to spend it than us? Cut out the middleman and send it straight to the source. No need to earmark it for mortgages though, just borrow more and get more credit. It is a credit crunch, right?

This is totally unneeded and uncalled for. I'm wiling to hire Pamela Anderson for 1 hour per month at 100 dollars for the hour :D No one should suffer the degradation of unemployment ;)

How much do you think 90 seconds would cost? I hate to buy the whole hour if I can't use it.
