I'm not fond of having a government shooting its citizens for everything, but maybe if some of the derelicts started getting visibly planted...

Some might find out about how conditions are temporary, and are subject to swing the other direction
In 1994, the Congressional Black Caucus sought greater penalties for crack cocaine than for powder cocaine. This was because crack was used more in the black neighborhoods than powder was and they wanted to drive cocaine out of the black areas. The stiffer penalties didn't work. Today, the disparity in penalties is considered racist and blamed on white legislators.
    This shows two things:
    1. Harsh penalties don't work because criminals don't think they'll get caught or punished.
    2. Facts don't matter because, in today's world, feelings are considered more important than facts or truth.

I don't feel that Trump is electable for a second term.
Regardless of how this country thrived under his leadership before, the voting public at large have short memories and the leftist liberal media will make sure that a broadcast with "proper agenda" is pushed and will be the most prevalent noise that is published.

Most people will sheep their way onto that trail again and again.

But we should all be doing everything we can to rid ourselves of any possibility of a Bidenesque type win in 2024. I just don't know where to effing start.

We still need a solid "America First" candidate to build a foundation around!

Trump is that place to start, so right there's your problem

Will bring all the left's guns to bear on him but still the best chance to beat them, and a solid America First candidate to boot - he resurrected the idea when it was languishing

Full disclosure: He's not perfect and his supporters are not part of a cult, but you will be told otherwise endlessly; even from some INGOers who should know better but can't let go of their hatred

Really? One of the few presidents to increase his vote totals in his reelection.

Regardless of how this country thrived under his leadership before, the voting public at large have short memories and the leftist liberal media will make sure that a broadcast with "proper agenda" is pushed and will be the most prevalent noise that is published.
They did that in 2020 and he still increased his vote totals and exceeded any candidate in history including the mega popular obummer.

Most people will sheep their way onto that trail again and again.

Then we must stop vote cheating.

We still need a solid "America First" candidate to build a foundation around!
Who would that be? Rainbows and unicorns are not going to cut it…

We can not vote our way out of the coming crisis. The parties are two wings of the same bird. A bird that I don't like where it seems to be flying.

Would the orange man be better than the 10 precent'er? Yes. Would we be facing a war in uk Rain if the orange man was in power? I don't think so no. Would we have gotten out of Afghanistan without leaving billions in equipment? Maybe. (I think we would still be involved even with trump saying we would be out). Would the economy and inflation be as high as it currently is. I think yes but not as extreme. Printing billions to pay back millions is inflation. We still printed with trump in office. He should have done as promised and drained the swamp and built a casino in DC.

A powerful third party might be a try. To do what needs to be done in the short term instead of kicking the can down the road to our kids is not politically wise as to reform the country is going to ruffle lots of feathers in the coup we call the USA. If the feathers are ruffled to much the birds fly the coup and you get no votes to continue the quest.

We have two choices or two roads to travel. One to attempt to right the ship and cut down expenses/spending/ drastically and raise new income with import taxes. Staying the best looking horse in the glue factory is not a horrid thing. Two let the mother sucker burn and build back from the ashes. (This might be easier in the end but harder t
o survive in the start and lots will be harmed)

Sometimes you have to spill some milk and break an egg or two to get a decent breakfast.
