I honestly don't know what shot is used for turkey, but wouldn't you have to be fairly close for a kill shot of turkey loads?if one is that close, how do you not see your buddy?
Admittedly, I am somewhat ignorant of shotgun lethality.

Depending on the choke, size of the shell and the shot size, turkey guns can reach out there pretty good.
