    i commented in that thread that the student really needed a thigh rig.

    Would have prevented that situation all together. :laugh:

    When I worked for DynCorp a guy got fired for leaving his M9 in a bathroom in a CENTCOM bathroom. We had thigh holsters to keep the pistol from getting tangled up with your rifle sling, and for whatever reason he took everything off. He came out with his rifle but forgot his pistol.

    Keep in mind this was about 4 security checkpoints in and Gen. Abizaid had a $25m bounty on his head at the time. A TCN janitor saw it and freaked out. His English wasn't very good but his charades was passible and he got another guard to understand he wanted him to go with him and the guard found the gun. The "leaver" realized what he was missing and was on his way back, but way too little way too late. He was on a plane back stateside as soon as they could outprocess him.
