White House denies petition to deport Piers Morgan | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

Looks like the anti 2A limey is staying. I thought this was commical "
In Carney's statement explaining the White House's decision to allow Morgan to remain in the U.S., he acknowledges that the Second Amendment does guarantee citizens the right to bear arms, but reiterates the First Amendment guarantees the freedom of the press.".
Funny, I thought the Constitution and the First Ammendment only applied to AMERICAN CITIZENS. Guess I was wrong.

    (sorry if Dupe)

First of all, they aren't American rights they are human rights. When a free country recognizes and protects human rights (properly speaking anyway) it should protect the rights of all people within its borders, not just certain special people. Everyone. THAT is (or was) the unique beauty of this country that caused people to risk their lives to get here.

Second, this idea of deporting Mr. Morgan is more un-American than anything I have heard him say…by a long shot.

I wouldn't mind him packing his crap and leaving though... :)

True but that is the Constitution of the United States of America. A constitution that was drafted By the People of America FOR the People of America. My opinion is that if you aren't a citizen, it shouldn't apply to you. Now I will be bashed, but again, it is my opinion. I love exercising my 1A right!
Otherwise, what is the point of Citizenship?

    Funny how that works.

The government just decides a certain class isn't a citizen and denies them all of these rights.

Your opinion is one that eventually leads to genocide.

How is it acceptable for a foreign national to be working in the United States attacking the Constitution?

    :+1:

The 2A is about the right of THE PEOPLE, not the right of the US citizens.
If you legally live in the US, citizen or not, you have the right to bear arms and of course you also have freedom of speech.
Foreign journalists (and any foreigner for that matter) have their rights protected by the first amendment.

So if he wants to buy a gun, should he be allowed to? According to you he has the right to.

    It's not.....
However in this country we relinquish our freedoms in the name of the false Liberal God Tolerance. :noway:
Which by the way is a one way street.
Tolerance is reserved for Liberal/Socialist/Communist concepts.
    Not Conservative/Traditional/Self sufficient ones.

"The people of america" includes all the people living in the US.It's not "we the American citizens", it's "we the people". :)
Being a citizen gives you more rights (like the right to vote) or to become president (for natural born citizens).
The constitution clearly says when those rights are the rights "of the people" or the rights of "the citizens".
