I don't get the context of "lock your doors tonight". Is he suggesting the objects are from a foreign state and we should be concerned? Or is he being flippant suggesting there shouldn't be as much concern for these as the admin. is making it out to be? And if we know these objects have been floating overhead for "many years", then why lie and say they were missed until we adjusted our systems to account for small, slow moving objects? It's as if there is concerted effort to intentionally muddy the waters.

Who knows. It's probably some new high tech drones from China or Russia, or possibly tests of our new drones that failed, and are going back to the drawing board.

( not sure if that is the correct term ) to now pick up and monitor all related balloons and the such ..........I am concerned that our radar did not already do that . But we have a Balloon Club that can monitor them in real time with a phone app .........with of course , a phone made in China .
Pretty sure if China wants to spy on us , all they have to do is access all of our smart phones and TV`s .

Yes programmed.
Gone are the days of the AN SPS 10 radar, and such.
They would give a LOT of false returns. Pick up waves, birds, cloud banks, rain, etc.
So they are USUALLY programmed to disregard certain factors.
Otherwise, it's like a car alarm that goes of 15 times a day for now reason, it gets ignored.

I wonder if it is possible we shot down our own balloon? There were no markings on the balloon itself and there are reports that many parts had English markings on them!

I did a quick internet search on them..............I could see how one could get overwhelmed with false targets .
