To be honest I get the feeling that the Preppers really use the Zombie movies as training films against the survivors..
Be honest are the hardcore preps hoping they will out live the rest of us so they don't have to wait in lnes anymore?:dunno:

    Fess up?

I think 28days and 28weeks later is a really good depiction of the kind of behavior we would see. No so much brain hungry but insanely violent.

    Ok, I have to know...

Fighting zombies with fire - good or bad?

It could kill them, and many of them at once, but it could also be that there is nothing worse than a zombie trying to eat your brains that is on fire. So whats the answer?

I think that depends greatly on location. As I would assume burning zombies would take some time for them to die (again). It could cause you a world of problems, if a mass of gasoline soaked zombies storm the building you are held up in, now you have 2 enemy's zombies, and fire.

Read "Lucifers Hammer" for where my preps start from, then "Dies the Fire" by S.M. Stirling for another extreme version (all technology stops.)

As far as what I think might happen. Read what happened during the Depression, Dust Bowl, and Prohibition.

I think if you light a zombie on fire you will have a brain eating fire ball walking in your direction. Headshots all they way!!

Exactly. Be sure to follow the directions:

    lmfao
All you jokers keep laughing. Notice how low the post count is in this thread.

I think most have spoken volumes by their silence.

One guy who talks about what he did to prepare this year- keeps talking about running and practice shooting small fast moving objects.

This reminds me of the story of the two hikers in the woods who spot a bear. One guy starts running and the other takes the time to put on his running shoes...

The first guy says to his friend -running shoes won't help you out run a bear!

The guy with rhe running shoes says- I'm not trying to out run the bear!

I am thinking this is great until all of the running and screaming starts.

Have a great Pre Apocolyptic day:ar15:

    Love it dude!

Call me crazy but I've had a "Zombie Plan" for years now - these plans have turned into a "survivalist" mentality. I do use the zombie movies as a reference to the upcoming SHTF scenario's.

It is not so much that everyone not prepared will be a zombie...ok so maybe it is.If your already dead(ie starving ect..) because you did not prepare...you turn into a zombie.
Either way I will be hanging on to what I have :)

    On Zombies:

The growing Zombie threat is truely one of the greatest of our times. Like the Soviets we must take on the mentality that it is a question of when and not if they rise up from the grave to feed on our brains. However we must keep in mind that the Horde of Satan is just one of the many threats that we must prepare for. Fortunitly The Undead Invasion is one of the worst case scenarios and thus preparing for it as a cornerstone of your Survivalist Plans will help to strenghten all the possible scenarios we might face. While Big Brother, THe Robot Rebellion, and a host of other threats are just a plausible at bringing about the end of the world. None will be as hard to defeat as the Zombies. The only advasary to America that presents a greater threat is the Socialist mentality that has already seeped into our lives. And like the Zombies it spreads slowly and silenty at first, and then becomes a wildfire that destroys all hopes off Logic, Thought, and Freedom that it encounters. We can only hope that the Zombies show up soon for they will be our salvation against the leftist plague, and then we can go about the much easier work of focused head shots as they feed on the weak brains of the moonbats.

However do not be fooled my comrads, many of the films on The Great Threat are very wrong. They are just a bunch of HollyWood hoopla. If you really want to prepare go to your local bookstore and pick up some of the great definitive works on the subject, and then hit the internet. Join Zombie Squad and start hoarding because it will be a long winter for sure.

World War Z and the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks are foundation materials on the subject. Furthermore I am currently reading what is certainly to be one of the greatest literary works on the subject, Pride and Predjudice and Zombies.

I am going to be very disappointed if that last post wasn't original material. Because that was funny!

    +1

I always thought the 28 Days/28 Weeks movies showed what it would be like it a SHTF senario. I think you need to be more concerned with the "have nothing else to lose/ out of their minds" people more than the brain eatting ones.

I am a firm believer in the impending zombie apocalypse. It will happen and I would like to be prepared but I don't think I am. I am more prepared than most, though. I'll do fine... as long as it doesn't happen in the next few months.
