Had a conversation with my contact in the IL State Police, Thursday, March 6, regarding progress in getting the "substantially similar" mess straightened out. He told me he recently delved into that very subject and got no answer, whatsoever. No surprises, there!
It appears it will be a while before Indiana residents--or residents of any other states, except Hawaii--can apply for the IL carry permit. The IL State Police has its hands full processing applications from IL residents. So, even though we have two certified IL Instructors, myself and Bryan DeYoung, we are stuck for the time being.
The good news: plenty of other classes, from Handgun I through FOF/ECQ. Go here for complete descriptions and details.
