I'm sure we've all heard the saying that we, as individuals, are put here for a purpose, and we all have a number in a line.

    Does anyone know their purpose?

Have they achieved their purpose, or even know if it's been achieved?

Do we get a sense of accomplishment when we achieve our purpose, or
is that just when our number is called?

Are we destined for just a single deed, and everything else is by-product?

Of late my purpose is to be a thorn in the side of every snowflake I meet.

Today I found out what my special purpose is for. Gosh, what a great time I had. I wish the whole family could've been here with me. Maybe some other time as I intend to do this a lot.

Ahhh! A Jerk reference (not at DD, but the movie “The Jerk”, for all you youngsters). Almost as quotable of a movie as O’ brother where art thou or Talladega nights!

A few years ago I had all my kids come over and we watched The Jerk, they had heard me quote that movie for years and always gave me the eye roll. They loved it, couldn’t believe some of the silly **** that went on!

In all seriousness to the OP, I don’t think it’s possible to know what your purpose for being here is. No way of knowing how you influence people and things around you. Kinda like in the classic It’s a wonderful life.
In all honesty I think my purpose is to continue to be the Warrior that is me. To protect and serve, especially family and friends.

To try to make a difference even when the odds are not in your favor.

Our purpose should be to become and stay the best person/human you can be and when you pass on to be remembered as that type of person: friendly, personable, charitable, not-selfish, compassionate, willing to help out, working hard as a good parent, working hard and well in the business world, and doing right by all people and family you deal and live with. My :twocents:!

I'll bet more people will see that than the phone book!
