Our 2nd miscarriage

Sorry brother. Wish I had words of comfort, but I can't imagine what words to say. I'll definitely be praying.

I'm sitting here in the waiting room at the hospital. My wife just had her 2nd miscarriage.

On July 4th weekend, she had her first miscarriage. It came all of a sudden. She was 7.5 weeks along.

It was extremely hard on us.

After months of trying, and giving up, we were pregnant again. But too nervous and scared to get excited.

At 7.5 weeks, the doctor said everything was fine. But for our own peace of mind, we scheduled to see the doctor at 10 weeks. Just to make sure.

Unfortunately, we let ourselves get excited. We were going to be parents!
Yesterday, the doctor didn't find a heartbeat.


So we've been here at the hospital, St Vincent's, since 8am. Had another sonogram to make sure. Nothing.

So now they just took my wife in to have surgery.

I have no idea why this has happened. They said my wife is RH negative, but are unsure if that's the reason for this time. We'll know more later.

This sucks.

If you guys would, any prayers you can send our way would be much appreciated.

Very sorry to hear this I had the same situation my wife is th neg also went through two miscarriages wanted to give up my wife had already had one baby so it was so confusing I will say the doctor and I talked and he told me to. Try again he said he sees this all the time and usually the third time it works out he told us if you have a problem with three then there's more testing to do to see what's . Wrong it was hard but we decided we tried one more time and was succesful. I know it's hard but keep your head up.

Sorry your going through this! Exact situation happened to us too, 2 miscarriages then we went to a fertility specialist and now we have two boys.

Very sorry to hear about this.
As mentioned by others, this is more common than some may think. It's doesn't make it any easier though.
I'll never forget the day it happened to us. It was tragic.
Just be there for her. It's tough on both of you, but it can be especially tough on the momma.

Sorry to hear about this. Not an easy place to be.

FYI, the Rh negative blood type did not cause this. That can cause problems, but only much later on and only if she doesn't get the RhoGAM shot.

So sorry to hear of your losses. Prayers out to you and your wife. It's one of the hardest things any couple will face, but try not to be discouraged. My wife and I lost two to miscarriages before our son was born, lost another between our son and daughter, and then lost our full term son to a cord accident.

Just a suggestion, once you get her home and she's able to travel pick a special place that you both really enjoy and go...just get away for as long as you can...cry your eyes out, hold each other close, and console each other. While not forgeting your excitment at what could have been, begin to let go and look forward to what will be. Give your grief to God...He's got big shoulders and will bring you through this. Afterall, He knows what it's like to lose a child too.
