mailing a check to the state. i tried the online payment last year and they screwed it up. they applied my payment to the 2022 taxes so they were dunning me for last years. just a mess. i am not sure if i ever got all my money back or not. i guess if i get notice of an overpayment this year, it will be okay. having the feds take the money out of my account on April 1... april fools day.
