    The dad is awake now.
    This story does not make sense. I've read both the parents were home. And the mom smelled smoke. The fire alarms should have been blaring by then. Fires don't get out of control that quickly without an accelerant. Gonna be interesting to see the deconstruction of the scene and find out where/how the fire started.

    Curious what started the fire as both adults were in the unit at the time.
    I'm guessing something that the parents thought they could handle. Then it got to be "oh crap" and oops there's a kid upstairs. Then Dad went back in to get said child napping upstairs?

    I guess some people just panic, but it seems very odd that a parent would leave their child in the house and have to go back in. That's all kinds of backwards.

    I didn't sound like they left the child. Believe both suffered burns and smoke inhalation. The delivery driver attempted entry a couple time too, but was quickly overcome by smoke and heat
