I live in these apartments. This was about 2 hours after I took the dog out to do her business. I didn't hear a thing, but my wife told me about it when I woke up. I can't leave my parking lot without passing where the shooting took place (I can see it from my front window). I knew this area had been going down hill from what it once was, but I didn't think it was like this yet. It can happen anywhere.

I always watch my wife go out to her car in the mornings for work, and I don't think that will be changing anytime soon...

I don't think this is a dupe, I couldn't find it when I searched.

IMPD asking for help in early morning shooting - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

I did some of the rebuild work on the patios of those APTs. The guy probably lives in Riverwood across the street, they let absolutely anyone move in there.

The rebuild work they did last summer? If so, I'm sure I saw you.

And seeing some people we have here at Woodbridge, I think they let just about anyone in too. I grew up on the eastside of Indy and thought of this area as more upscale, and it is, but not like I thought. I think some eastside residents followed me.

We personally haven't had any problems with crime, but there definitely IS a good amount of questionable characters and behavior. The management put fliers on everyones door yesterday saying they are going to hiring an outside security company to conduct night patrols around the grounds now. They're having a community meeting about it in a few weeks. I guess there have been an increase in break-ins too. Our neighbors got their door kicked in a few weeks after they moved in last fall.
