There's a place near me that does eyebrow threading, but I don't think they do nipples.

1800 rifle is probably a breach plug assembly, not a drum which came later. Over size nipples are available. There is not that much pressure at the nipple just need to have it seated.

bought a 1800's percussion rifle. The nipple threads are gone. How would you fix that.

Are the threads gone? or just can't screw a new 1/4 28 nipple in? -just had one in and had to use a dental pick to clean the breach plug nipple threads. They were there after an hour of picking --Dixie gun works have 8 different thread sizes to choose from.
