INGO's NFA Day is coming up on Saturday September 29th in Brown County!
The What:
NFA Noob Day is an event brought to you by INGOers, for INGOers. The purpose of this event is to introduce people to the exciting world of NFA item ownership. NFA items include machineguns, silencers, short barreled rifles, destructive devices, short barreled shotguns and any other weapons (AOW).
If you think that NFA items are illegal or you are unsure of what it takes to own such things, you may be interested in this event.
This event is completely free to attend. If you want to shoot, you must bring your own ammunition. There will be many NFA items for you to sample. There will also be a learning portion of the day where you will be walked-through the very simple process of NFA ownership.
The When:
September 29, 2012 from 11:00am until sundown with a pot-luck style dinner to follow.
The Where:
Brown County Indiana, just South of Morgantown at LoveMyWoods' private range and homestead.
The Why:
NFA Day was born of the desire to indoctrinate non NFA owners into the very fun and exciting world of NFA item ownership. We feel that if we can increase the number of NFA owners, we have a better chance of protecting our freedoms of ownership in this area for generations to come.
How do you sign up?
Simple. Just post in this thread with "in" and you'll be signed up.
To be eligible to sign-up for Noob Day you must:
- Be an active INGOer with a registration date prior to July 6th, 2012.
- Not own, have ever owned, or are not currently in the process to own, any Class III (NFA) firearms.
- Have never attended a prior NFA Day.
- Be at least 18 years of age and able to operate firearms in a safe manner.
What's the catch?
The catch is that we only have space for 25 participants at this event due to the size of the facility. Due to this fact, attendees will be chosen "lottery style" meaning that once the signup period is over, we will number each person and use a random number generator to select the attendees.
For your spouse to attend, they must meet all the criteria for attendance, must also be a registered INGOer prior to June 6th, and you must sign up as 1 unit with only 1 chance for attendance.
We limit the attendees because of space and safety, plain and simple.
Our only request to participants:
If you sign up, please only do so if you actually plan on attending. There are folks who's number won't get picked and it's not very friendly of you to get selected and not show up because you "forgot". If you don't get selected, don't fret, there will be an alternate list. Invariably folks will drop out and we will then randomly select someone from the alternate list. If you get selected and something then comes up that precludes you from attending, please notify me via PM AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE so that I can select an alternate.
The equipment:
There will be suppressors and host guns in just about every caliber imaginable.
There will be machieguns including AK47's, M16's, UZI's, MAC's, Grease Guns, MP5's and a couple of other "surprise" guns
There will be a few AOW shotguns (pistol gripped shotguns with 10" barrels), several short barreled rifles and short barreled shotguns.
I will post a complete list later, as well as ammo requirements. Again, this is a BYOA event.
