He calls a republican health plan right-wing social engineering, and says he supports the individual mandate of Obamacare. Newt is a clown that has shown his contempt for liberty yet again.

Actually, he's supported the mandate going back to the 90's when he supported a voucher system. In that same interview, he also said Obama's plan was left wing social engineering.

My issue is that he's talking all the talk about a gradual shift and choices while still pushing the mandate.

Newt is fine as a History professor.
Some years back he had a series of lectures he gave at a University in Georgia (I believe) that were televised.
I enjoyed watching them.

I just don't trust him to be President.

so it boils down to the fact he wants us to either pay for insurance or post a bond so we don't risk being a burdon on our fellow citizens... Hey Newt, how about making people responsible for themselves and if they don't have ins. or money and get hurt, they're farked... Harsh but just. I can't see how anyone is even giving him attention.... Irrelevence, thy name is NEWT..
