Finally made the jump to join your group, so thanks for having me.
Long time lurker,....just finally took the plunge to join.
Actually was a resident back in ‘76, but it was just for a short time.
Parents resided in Indiana from ‘76 till 2016, so not much of a stranger to NW Indiana area.
I stayed in Illinois cuz of work, but now am retired.
Still spend a lot of time in NW Indiana and SW Michigan visiting the GunShops, Cabela’s/Bass Pro, outdoor shooting range and riding motorcycles.
Hope I can contribute, thanks again Rich

Welcome.....since you are retired, what's holding you back from moving?

I’ve been retired 7 years now, circumstances with family members, and waitin’ on the wife to be jobless, slowed our future plans.
Now that it’s just her n I, we can get on with the next chapter in life.
Last year, Covid had kept us from exploring any new locations to live. My dream an favorite was always Idaho, but in reality, that just ain’t gonna happen. Besides, I’m ‘bout done with this snow crap.....spent my whole life n working career outside in all weather.
At the moment, #1 son lives in Texas, #2 son in northern Illinois. Wife’s sez,...we need/must live by one of the children since were ‘ol timers now.
Can’t argue with that.....(happy wife, happy life)
So far, Texas,.....leads big time for many reasons as to our choice for retirement living.
Hope to be gone in less than 2 years.
