Hello I am new to INGO, what does bumping mean on a post?

Hello new to INGO-- do not ever hit the REPLY button in the classifieds, you will be reprimanded, that is a bump, as far as i know the reply button can be used everywhere else!!!!!

In the classifieds, which you are forbidden to use until 50 quality posts or becoming a site supporter , bumping a post means commenting on so it returns to the top. When you finally reach your 50 quality posts and want to reply to a classified, PMs (private messages) are the preferred way to respond to the seller. Violating the rules can range from a warning from a mod to a ban depending on the circumstances.

This is a bump.
Actually I believe what you are referring to is in regards to the classifieds.
It means that you are not suppose to "bump" your post to the top just for exposure.
In any other section, bump away.

Anytime you make a reply on a thread, it brings it to the top of the list.

This is referred to as "bumping". The classifieds, afaik, is the only place you have to be careful about replying to threads.

If you intend to take part in the classifieds I suggest reading the rules and asking questions if you don't understand any of them.
