I drank the kool aid! I made my first mod today. The old crayola trick. I love the way it looks on the slide and the mags. Got a "don't tread on me" slide plate cover coming in the mail soon too. I am developing a strange attraction to glocks now. Lord help me! ;) I haven't even shot it, and I have all these plans for it.

a few pics...I didn't get my toes or a dirty bedsheet in the backdrop. :):

The Glock 19 is a fantastic pistol for personal defense.

Make sure you seek out good training so that you are not the weak link in your defense plan.

I have the same setup. First i bought a Sub 2-k with Glock mags and then shortly after came the G 19.
I got infected with the Glock bug just by handling the magazines of my Sub 2-K. Thats what I call contagious.

Cute story here. I asked my 5 y/o daughter if I could borrow a white crayon and she said she didn't have any at home, but had a bunch at school in her art box. I asked her to bring me home one for a "dad project". I fully expected her to forget, but she actually remembered and brought me 2 of them. I told her how happy I was that she remembered her dad! I can't wait to teach her how to shoot for real. For now she just has a airsoft rifle on an indoor range in our garage. Someday, it will be a S&W MP 15 -22 LR in pink camo. I can't wait!

yep, i've been reading stories about how 5 y/o girls disarm grown men and pistol whip 'em! My situational awareness is on high when she is in the room. I never turn my back on her...even though she IS my daughter, the interwebz has made me very leery of her. ;)

    sub 2k

Sub 2-k??? Never heard of/ seen one before....:dunno:

...the ultimate Glock accessory. Actually I had the s2k first and then realized I just had to have the matching Glock 19 (for those that don't know, the magazines are interchangeable):rockwoot:
Oh yeah, and it folds in half and fits in a BOB.

That Crayon might let you down if you like to shoot more than 300rds on range trips. Hot wax is not going to be very rigid..

    Welcome to the club!

good point, but crayon is easy to refill and wipe away after cleaning her. I do think it sexes her up a bit and makes her pop a little.

Nice Glock, I love the 19's! They are just right for the size of my hands, and are excellent shooters...and the white fill-in looks sweet :rockwoot:

That's an awesome setup!! I handled a Sub 2k at Orion Arms Friday and I want one pretty bad, like you I have a ton of G19 mags and such. Seems like a great pairing! :ar15:

You're either a bachelor or your wife is out of town and you're going to get your butt kicked when she sees what you've done to her perfectly beautiful table top. "Why didn't you cover it with some rags? Why did I ever marry you?"

Mrortega, you are a very perceptive man. The kids were both at birthday parties all afternoon and the wife was out shopping with her mother all afternoon. I had the run of the house for the first time in ages. No better way to spend it than cleaning up my guns, listening to music that isn't on radio disney and tipping a few "sodas". What a great day!

Rbharless - I almost ordered a slide cover that resembles your avatar. I too was in the air force. I wish I would have gotten that one after seeing your avatar. Oh well, I'll add it to the list of future mods.
