Inflation by another name. You can either increase prices for the same goods or offer less product for the same amount of money.

Someone please tell the hoarders to give it a rest. Just because some say the 22 is the best SHTF round does not mean we need 10k in a pvc pipe buried in the yard. Some of us like to shoot the stuff!

I bury 10,000 rounds in a pvc pipe in the yard. You shoot 10,000 rounds. Which one of us had a greater affect on supply?

10k rounds is just the emergency stash! This shortage has really eaten into my normal stock, I just dropped below 30k rounds for the first time in years!
This keeps up another year or two and I might have to start paying the higher prices.

I dont shoot 10k all at one time. Do you think I have enough money to have a class 3 weapon? 2 years ago you could buy 500 rounds at walmart for $15. They are still cranking out the rounds. Where are they going?

BTW, I do have more than 10K but I couldnt afford the pvc pipe so I had to shoot them up while they were still fresh. They begin to stink if you let them go bad.

The highest I've paid for a bulk pack of 22 is $13.95 over 3-4 years ago. I'll likely never have to buy another round of 22 for the rest of my life with the exception of cci stingers, subsonics and the like. I've not bought a single round of 22 in 3+ years. Who is having a bigger affect on supply right now, me or you?

I will try to keep this post simple. Rather if I buy 10k rounds to bury, or to shoot. That is 10k rounds not available to anyone else. What people do with their property, is their buisness. Crying about it changes nothing.

You are correct my friend. What is interesting is the number of people who are buying .22 who did not before. Basically we have people who normally don't shoot 500 rounds in a life filling up the closet. I try not to judge. In full disclosure I keep an emergency stash myself.

I would guess that inflation and demand will start catching up at the wholesale level. Where does everybody think the price will stabilize at? My guess will 8¢/rnd for bulk pack stuff and 12¢/rnd for the better quality stuff.

I'm taking the under on that number, at least for bulk. I found it for 5 cents/rd just within the past two months. I'm thinking that will pretty much be the new normal. I doubt we'll ever see it back at 2-3 cents/rd again though.

Sadly this is so true. OJ, Yogart, Cereal Boxes, burger boxes have all seen a decrease in 'food size' but not price.

I think for the better of INGO we need to confiscate your ammo and have it redistributed.
You did not build/earn/buy that.

Just stopped by acme in Seymour and they were stocking the shelves with American Eagle 22 which now comes in 40rd boxes and 400 round bricks.

American Eagle won't run in my M&P 22....so it's a no go for me. I gave the couple of boxes I had to my sone who uses it in his bolt actiontrange thing is, every other ,22 LR round I've tried runs fine.
