NAACP, an organization even more racist and full of hatred than the KKK IMHO, has begun to achieve their goal. They now have the Tea Party reacting on defense and eating it's own simply through fear of being called racist. Never mind that the charge holds no water... never mind that NAACP is engaging in baseless hate speech and merely using "white guilt" to achieve their political aims. The National Tea Party organization has responded with fear and stupidity. They are no longer relevant. It will just take a while before it's adherents recognize this act of spinelessness and cowardice as being the one that started their downfall.

The NAACP are extremely racist. They promote it. How do you think they sustain themselves financially. They sure know how to push ole "whitey's" buttons, don't they. All the way to the bank.

I look forward to Martin Luther Kings dream, where a man is judged by the content of his character rather than by the color of his skin. When that happens, the NAACP brass will be looking for other jobs.

Threw him under the bus for something fairly trivial. If the Tea Party starts trying to be PC, they will wind up watering down their message until they are no longer relevant.

Cant say Im surprised... Many have fallen victim to the desire of having to prove they are something they never were, they go out of they're way, bending over backwards.

I have half the mind to fire off some angry emails to the cowards who are allowing themselves, they're views and organization to be ridiculed upon accusations themselves which originate from racism against the Tea party.

I hope Obama runs this country right into the country, so people can forget about the race issue, and get back to Traditional American Conservativism.

I suppose the irony in this, is that the Tea party is now giving creedence to the claims by the ilks of the communist over at MSNBC who have been beating this drum for months.

Good job Tea Party Leaders, you need to be taken out back, and left to dry for your spineless wimpering ploys to appease a people, a politic's which will never end it's thirst for my blood.

A man's views on one issue wont change the facts regarding other issues.

I think it's time for Tea Party activist to make some calls to they're leaders and tell them to act like Jan Brewer and grow a pair.

Gosh, who would that benefit? I pray that the American public doesn't forget how quick a dedicated group of liars and crooks can move this country to the left and socialism / communism.

I don't want this guy representing Tea Parties if what this article says is true. We are supposed to be stopping out-of-control spending, not bashing religions.

Wouldn't it be amazing if "Tea Parties" would appeal to a broad demographic of people, not just sterotypical conservatives? If you want a true change to come about, we need this movement to appeal to a broad base of people, and have a target mission, which I understood was primarily economic in nature.

He can find another soap box to stand on and give his opinions on Muslims and Mosques. It just distracts from our message and hurts our image.

That is my opinion as a tea party organizer.

Tea Party leader Mark Williams says Muslims worship a 'monkey god', blasts Ground Zero mosque

Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams incited a controversy by saying Muslims worshipped 'a monkey God.'

A propsed mosque to be built two blocks from Ground Zero is what launched Williams' tirade.

A National Tea Party leader protesting a proposed mosque near Ground Zero set off a firestorm of anger Wednesday by saying that Muslims worship "the terrorists' monkey god."

Mark Williams, chairman of the Tea Party Express, blogged about the 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center planned at Park Place and Broadway, calling it a monument to the 9/11 terrorists.

"The monument would consist of a Mosque for the worship of the terrorists' monkey-god," Williams, a frequent guest on CNN, wrote on his Web site.

His statements drew a sharp rebuke from City Hall and the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a national Muslim civil rights and advocacy group.

"It's appalling," a spokesman for Mayor Bloomberg said of Williams' comments, adding that the land is private and is zoned for a number of uses including a religious facility.

"It would be shocking if such ignorant comments failed to elicit a strong response not only from Tea Party leaders, but from other parties throughout the political spectrum," said Corey Saylor, the Muslim rights group's national legislative director.

The downtown project is being spearheaded by the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement. Neither group had any immediate response to Williams' comments.

The glass-and-steel building - which would also include a 500-seat performing arts venue, a swimming pool and a basketball court - would be built two blocks from the World Trade Center site, in the old Burlington Coat Factory.

This month, Community Board 1's financial district committee unanimously approved the project.

In an e-mail to the Daily News, Williams was unapologetic - saying his comments were specifically aimed at the terrorists, which he described as "the animals of Allah."

"If CAIR equates terrorists with Muslims then they apparently have a little [political correctness] problem of their own now don't they?" Williams said. The Tea Party Express headed by Williams has organized nationwide protests in recent months, drawing in angry voters who feel ignored by Washington. The Tea Party backed outside-the-Beltway candidates like Rand Paul of Kentucky, who won the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate on Tuesday.

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Muslim rights group, pointed out other offensive statements Williams has made about Muslims on his Web site, including calling Islam "a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile."

At the Community Board 1 committee meeting May 5, Daisy Khan, executive director of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, defended the project as a plus for the community.

"Whatever concerns anybody has, we have to make sure to educate them that we are an asset to the community," she said.

"Religious intolerance, demagoguery and fear-mongering have no place in the discussion about development on and around the World Trade Center site," State Sen. Daniel Squadron (D-Manhattan/Brooklyn) said.

The NAACP still has a lot of power in the MSM. If they call someone racist, the MSM will be all over them and all their associates until they beg forgiveness and seek redemption from their accuser. That's how the shakedowns run by the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton always worked.

Regarding Islam.. I cant say Mark Williams is wrong, nor were the comments racist.

While the Tea party certainly isnt about Islam, I seen numerous speakers drone on and on about stuff which really has zero to do with financial responsibility.

And I dont blame them. The media wont report it, and the truth does hurt.

My only question is WTF is a monkey god cult?

The Tea Party needs to stay on message. TAXES.

And small government. And a return to the Constitution.

Glad they gave this guy the boot, but if they start with the PC BS, it's over. It's already too bad that the Tea Partiers can't even agree on who to vote for or even support one of their own for office. I figured Richard had it in a landslide. Too bad there's too many hypocrites that don't want their favorite career politician to be out of the game.

I've given up on the Tea Party after the Primaries. I was ashamed at their hypocrisy.
