Just a quick update on my lovely S&W 1911TA...
I went out to Jasper Pulaski DNR range over the weekend for some Easter weekend shooting and did some further testing with my S&W 1911TA "E" Series. Before this, I had shot about 85rnds of Federal 230grain FMJ and it was flawless. This time I was testing hollow points, I used Remington UMC 230grain JHP. I only got a chance to run 40 rounds, but I must say, so far this 1911 hasn't even thought about acting up or giving me any problems. I ran all 40 quite quickly (quicker than the DNR range guy liked) and it ran flawlessly. I don't remember the approx breaking period for 1911's, but right now I have about 125rnds through it and I must say, it runs impeccably!! The craftmenship of this weapon is incredible!
I can't wait to run it in IDPA this season!!
