Thought I post some pictures of my original 17 gen1 and my Lipsey 17 gen 1 remake.
While the remake is close in appearance it is more or less a gen 3 made to look like a gen 1.
At first they seem to be the same, but a closer look shows quite a few differences.
The main differences is the captive recoil spring and metal sn plate. The original had non-captive spring and the sn was stamped into the plastic frame.
The remake appears to have the laser etched letters where the original are stamped.
    There are others differences .
The box is a gen 3. You can see the it's designed for the gen 3 finger gooves.

The original gen 1 in the pictures are either on the top or on the left of the picture.

Very nice set of pistols, the P80 reissue having "Gen 1" in the serial number prefix is interesting and I didn't know that they stamped them that way.

Is the reissue the gun without a lanyard loop cut into the frame?

I love this. Thanks for sharing.

I have a Glock 22C that I bought in the 90s or early 2000s. Finish looks terrible, but she’s been carried in every holster style and tossed under the seat and in toolboxes. Still think about selling her, but nostalgia usually gets the best of me.
