Sounds like this guys was just a dumb ass. I probably would have called a local police officer and reported him for harassment.

P.S That's awesome your daughter OC's. How old is she?

Starting to wonder if maybe it was a "Special Deputy" or someone impersonating a Deputy. You think one with actual powers to arrest wouldn't of just walked off when ignored.

There was an incident at a truck stop on the south/southeast side of Indy about two months ago where one "Special" held a taser to a truck driver while another went through his truck. They were not contracted to work that property nor did they make any attempt to contact the local Police. Last I heard the two may be facing intimidation and impersonation charges.

So who should they have contacted? Perhaps you aren't familiar with the set up in Marion County now days?

Last I was aware of, a "Special" Deputy's powers ended when they left the property they are contracted to protect. They should of contacted IMPD. They obviously screwed up since both have been fired and may be looking at criminal charges.

Greg, when you think about the incident I described, keep this in mind,

    Cooley

I don't think I need to explain it any further.

Curious to know if you have a name to go behind the story. If you want, you can PM a name or any other information you have on the officer. Unfortunately, the short, old, dark hair, full mustache, matches a few different officers.

Sorry if I step on some toes here, but give the LEO a break. Women get harrassed all the time for OCing. I should know, cause I am female and I OC. You guys here on INGO are of a different mindset. Most people are shocked to see a female carrying a sidearm. I get stares, whispers, loud comments and even people being startled. At least I'm assuming its the firearm that's making people do these things. :dunno:
Yes, a LEO should know the law and maybe he was just seeing if she did too. I don't know. Doesn't seem that bad an encounter to me. That's just my opinion, you get what you pay for. :)
