Starting to wonder if maybe it was a "Special Deputy" or someone impersonating a Deputy. You think one with actual powers to arrest wouldn't of just walked off when ignored.

There was an incident at a truck stop on the south/southeast side of Indy about two months ago where one "Special" held a taser to a truck driver while another went through his truck. They were not contracted to work that property nor did they make any attempt to contact the local Police. Last I heard the two may be facing intimidation and impersonation charges.

Here you go, in her words...

I walked into burger king to get a cup of water with my sister. As we were walking to the drink station a man stopped me and said whats this little do-dad.
Me: I replied by say this is my firearm
Cop: he then asked again what it was

Me: i said my fire arm and he said what kind i said and hk usp 9mm.
    Cop: whats it for?
    Me: for my protection.
Cop: oh really do you have a license to carry
    Me: yes sir i do.
then he pulled out his badge and said howard county sheriffs department may i see it.
    Me: yes you can
    Cop:have you taken the classes.
    Me: no sir
He acted like he was reading my license but kept implying that i need to take classes to be more aware. He handed me my license and my sister and I went to get our drinks. He then followed us to the drink station and said how do i know you are who you are. I said nothing and went on with what I was doing and he kept saying over and over again you need to have the proper id on you if your going to open carry.

I just ignored him and he didn't know what to say. After a while, he got bored with bugging me and went and sat back down. I got my drink and left.

    my daughter is semi illiterate

    Huh...

It must run in your side of the Family... :dunno::popcorn:

I note the following and award half points because of it:

    1. No kissy faces were made at the police.

    2. The fact that this might have been the deputy at Howard County that started the lifetime LTCHs are going away rumor was not addressed.

After about 20 seconds she could have started in yelling, "bad touch, bad touch" and then watch to see what he does.
