Our latest setup but doesn't show the coop painted:
I've been really happy with the feed bucket I use where I drilled a couple of holes into a heavy duty trash can and dump the feed in there.
Amazon product ASIN B09N3RPBS5 Those things make it easy to dump a bag of feed in and not worry about it until it's empty. I keep a log of firewood on top so the lid doesn't blow off.

The other thing I've been really happy with is the 5 gallon waterer because it holds so much water and keeps that all pretty simple.

Chicken coop is almost done. Just have to add and cover a few vents.

The chicken run can be moved to each corner.

    And plenty of room inside.

    Finally...

    20230512_145428.jpg

    8 australorps
    4 brahmas
    4 polish

Right now, the brahmas and polish are still spending the night in the brooder since they aren't fully feathered. They spend most of day outside, and they aren't happy when I put them up for the night. I'd leave them out in the coop, but momma has become attached to them and insists they aren't old enough. She's funny. Last night, I put them up, got up in the morning to get them and it was 80 degrees in the room that they're in! Momma thought 68 degrees was too cold.

I put 4 pallets on 3- 4X4 skids making it 80"X8'. Double layer of 7/16" OSB, 4 coats of vinyl paint. Ripped 2X6's for 2X3 studs, cut them at 6'. Added a 2X6 on the front line for roof sloop. Used tin for the roof, OSB for the walls. All material was scrap from building sites.
At an auction I got 9 rolls of 2X4X25 ft welded wire for $15 per roll. Stapled it to 3 trees and a post that made a 30X40 ft run. Doubled the wire for an 8 ft fence. I screwed used portable carport post above the fence and laid 2" poultry wire across the top.
We got our hens from a local poultry house for $1 after they slowed in laying. I would get 10 hens per year.
Moved 5 years ago and can't have any type of livestock or poultry. My son bought a run kit and we built a small coop from used cedar fence boards this year. I bought 4 Easter Eggs and he's picked up 8 different ones from friends. Ought to see eggs starting mid July.

Built my wife a replacement coop for her RURAL KING special. We got that to decide if we wanted chickens or not. She knew she wanted them before I got the 1st coop finished. Long time to build this new one because spare time has been at a premium.

From a city boys perspective, I like the weathered 'been-there-forever-and-a-day' look
That look is thanks to the tornado that rolled thru in April. An old barn down the road had been "leaning" for years, the tornado flattened it. The crew sent to clean it up was more then willing to let me take as much as I needed. Will soon show the final pic of the coop, plus I redid the back porch on the barn in a "been-there-forever-and-a-day" look
