    There were numerous mountain lion sightings around here during that time.

    Yes, I had been speaking with a CO about this yesterday and about the bobcat population. He said that the bobcat population had grown so much that they may have a short season in the next year or two. If they are breeding that fast and much, why couldn't the mountain lions?

    Interesting. I've got a couple of the DNR district pages on my Facebook feed and they have had several articles about bobcats that have gotten hit by cars on our highways since this fall. It makes sense that if you're starting to see them get hit by cars, that there may be a larger number of them than we might expect.

    My family owns 524 acres in southern Indiana (all forest), and my cousin who spends a lot of time on the property swears he saw a mountain lion last fall and found a deer shredded up not too long ago. Who knows?

    I saw a stuffed bobcat at a national park last week and they are smaller than I imagined they would be. Mini Miguel said, "It looks like a giant regular cat..."
