For you fans of Tool, A Perfect Circle and other works where Maynard James Keenan has been involved, he appears in the July 2013 issue of Rifle Firepower. Below are a few screen grabs.

Great music and pro-2A! Is it possible to wear out a CD? If it is my copy of 10,000 Days must be close to it.

GO Maynard! Been a fan for almost 19 years! :rockwoot:
While I love them all Aenima and Salival are my favorites. I might just rock some Tool when I get home.

Not too many musicians out there I call myself a fan of. After I saw Tool live in Hawaii in '93 for their Undertow album, I was a fan for life. The late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains fame joined him onstage in the chorus of the Tool song, Sober. People were like, who the hell is this? and I was just digging it.

I totally loved the odd timings and introspective lyrics. Adam Jones on guitar is masterful in creating the textures and dynamics of Tools sound. Danny Carey is a mind blowing, stupidly talented drummer with all his multi time signature rhythms that some how work and bloom into massive beats. Some drummers I've jammed with scratch their heads at trying to imitate some of his work. Very intelligent guys.

EDIT: Actually found media from the concert I witnessed in '93

Layne Staley showed up to sing along with Maynard on a few songs.

This is just awesome being able to relive my first exposure to them. I was still stationed in Hawaii when I saw this concert.

Wow! I am totally jealous of you man. Layne left us before I had the chance to see him live. I'm a big Chains fan! I've seen them since, but it just wasn't the same. Seem more like a Cantrell solo project than true Chains.

Saw AIC during their facelift tour in Hawaii as well. Sounded better than the cd! He didn't miss a note. Saw some great bands in small venues in Hawaii when I was in the Corps.
